Melbourne City assistant coach, Des Buckingham is back in Wellington this Monday, 19th July 2021, for a masterclass focussing on “Culture building and playing styles.” The session which kicks off at 7pm, at the Petone FC clubrooms, Memorial Park, Bracken Street, Petone is free to attend and for any coaches in the advanced coaching space (OFC/NZF C Licence and above) it counts towards 15 points for keeping a licence active.
Des, who is very familiar to us in the Capital region, has coached with Stoke City, New Zealand Football and the Wellington Phoenix and over the past couple of weeks has stopped in at Dunedin and Christchurch to deliver his session to local coaches.
Federation Development Manager, Steeve Sharpe commented “it’s great to have Des back in the country for a visit and even better that we are able to utilise his time for the benefit of our coaches in the region. Des has had a tremendous coaching journey already and this is an opportunity for local coaches to gain a unique insight. We look forward to seeing as many coaches there as possible.”
We encourage everybody planning on attending to enrol so that accreditation points can be duly appointed. To register for this event please register here: https://www.sporty.co.nz/viewform/166250
