Following the announcement of the Capital Football head coaches for its respective women’s and girls’ playing programmes in 2022 (Click Here) we are pleased to provide further details below.

Capital Football encourages clubs to nominate players for the following two representative squads:

• Capital Football National Women’s League Squad
• Capital Football U18 Girl’s National Youth League Squad
   

Trials will be held for the squads on the following dates/times:

National Women’s League
1^st August 2022, 7.30pm to 9.30pm
8^th August 2022, 6.00pm to 8.00pm                                                                      

Girls’ National Youth League
1^st August 2022, 6.00pm to 8.00pm
15^th August 2022, 6.00pm to 8.00pm

If players can only attend one trial this is fine, although of course we would like to see players at both if possible. NB: Capital Football competitions (i.e., W-League, Capital Premier etc.) will also be a source where players can be identified throughout the 2022 season.

Nominations for players must be sent in by clubs and not individuals. We therefore kindly ask clubs to circulate this information to all your eligible players, collate their nominations together into one document and send through to Capital Football any players seeking selection. NB: If players are nominated to trial across both squads, the coaching staff will manage this process and communicate this prior.   

In terms of eligibility, players seeking selection into the U18 squad must have been born on or after 1^st January 2004.

Please find attached a nomination form. Please complete and return the first page of the nomination form by 5pm, Tuesday 26^th July 2022 to Assistant Federation Development Manager, Maia Vink – maia@capitalfootball.org.nz
